Standing Tall Against Breast Cancer: Join Us for the Making Strides Walk

By: A Woman’s Place in Naples, FL

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, a time to honor survivors, raise awareness, and support ongoing research. This year, A Woman’s Place in Naples, FL is proud to take part in the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Fundraising Walk, and we invite our patients, families, and community members to walk with us.

Event Details: Walk With Us

Saturday, October 25, 2025
Paradise Coast Sports Complex – gates open at 7 AM

The Making Strides Walk is more than just an event. It’s a movement of survivors, supporters, and advocates coming together to show strength, raise critical funds, and remind one another that no one fights breast cancer alone. Whether you choose to walk, donate, or volunteer, your support makes a difference in the lives of countless women and families.

Stand Tall With Us

This year’s theme is inspired by the sunflower — a symbol of resilience and hope. Just as sunflowers stand tall and turn toward the sun, we are encouraging our community to stand tall against breast cancer.

  • Plant a sunflower: Do it in honor of a survivor or in memory of someone you love.
  • Share your story: Take a picture of your sunflower as it grows and tag us @awomansplacenaples.
  • Show your strength: Walk with our team and help spread the message of early detection and support.

Together, we can make a powerful statement: breast cancer may touch our lives, but it does not define our future.

Why Early Detection Matters

Breast cancer is the most common cancer among women, but early detection saves lives. Regular screenings, self-exams, and in-office mammography are some of the most effective tools we have. By walking with us and raising awareness, you help remind women everywhere of the importance of taking action for their health. To learn more about our women’s health services or schedule your mammogram, click here.

Join the Movement

Walkers will receive a free T-shirt (while supplies last) and the chance to be part of a community standing tall for a cause that touches so many lives. To sign up or donate, simply click here. Let’s come together, support one another, and keep moving forward.
