The ideal Patient Care Coordinator will have excellent communication skills, a strong attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities:

  • Answer phones and direct calls to the appropriate personnel.
  • Answer questions about medical services and insurance policies.
  • Schedule appointments and maintain patient records.
  • Manage high volume inbound patient calls daily in a busy medical practice, through delivery of exceptional customer service and support to minimize call wait times
  • Triage all incoming patient calls, schedule patient appointments, manage prescription requests, respond to general questions and inquiries, etc.
  • Identify patient needs & resolve problems by clarifying the issues to implement the best solution
  • Process incoming patient referrals and authorizations
  • Be an accountable and reliable member of the team.
  • Meet weekly/monthly performance metrics, goals, and outcomes

Experience:

  • Customer service: 3 years (Required)
  • Computer skills: 3 years (Required)
  • Electronic Medical Records experience: 1 year (Required)
  • Phone skills: 1 year (Required)
  • Medical terminology: 1 year (Preferred)

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: Depending on experience, $18.00-$20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Seeking energetic MA/LPN ready to join the team of a into a high-volume OB/GYN practice to perform routine administrative, clinical, and surgical tasks.

Job Role / Responsibilities:

  • Rooming patients and recording vital signs
  • Reporting and recording accurate patient history summaries
  • Preparing patients for exams and procedures
  • Flexibility working in a fast-paced environment with multiple providers
  • Telephone triage
  • Preparing electronic medical charts
  • Assisting with office surgical procedures under the direction of the physician’s requirements
  • Surgery scheduling
  • Sterilization of equipment, maintenance of supplies, and preparing rooms for patient visits
  • Projects as assigned

Required Qualifications:

  • LPN or CMA, or in process of certification
  • Preferred BLS Certification
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced office environment
  • Maintain a professional manner with patients, physicians, staff and the general public while in the work environment
  • Arrive as scheduled, be a team player
  • Reliable to complete assigned tasks in a timely and accurate manner
  • Ability to direct questions to the proper people at the proper time
  • Excellent and effective communication skills, both oral and written
  • Minimum 1 year medical experience
  • Preferred EMR Athena experience
  • Preferred OB/GYN experience
