The ideal Patient Care Coordinator will have excellent communication skills, a strong attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to gain experience in the medical field and make a positive impact on our patients’ experiences.

Responsibilities:

  • Answer phones and direct calls to the appropriate personnel.
  • Answer questions about medical services and insurance policies.
  • Schedule appointments and maintain patient records.
  • Manage high volume inbound patient calls daily in a busy medical practice, through delivery of exceptional customer service and support to minimize call wait times
  • Triage all incoming patient calls, schedule patient appointments, manage prescription requests, respond to general questions and inquiries, etc.
  • Identify patient needs & resolve problems by clarifying the issues to implement the best solution
  • Process incoming patient referrals and authorizations
  • Be an accountable and reliable member of the team.
  • Meet weekly/monthly performance metrics, goals, and outcomes

Experience:

  • Customer service: 3 years (Required)
  • Computer skills: 3 years (Required)
  • Electronic Medical Records experience: 1 year (Required)
  • Phone skills: 1 year (Required)
  • Medical terminology: 1 year (Preferred)

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: Depending on experience, $18.00-$20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Responsibilities:

  • Patient and guest Greeting and Registration
  • Charge Entry & Collection of Payments
  • Appointment Scheduling
  • Procedure Authorizations
  • Verification of Eligibility & Benefits
  • Understanding insurance issues & account billing – Modifiers. CPT & ICD-10 Coding
  • Be an accountable and reliable member of the team

Qualifications:

  • Medical reception experience: 2 years (Required)
  • Customer Service: 3 years (Required)
  • Electronic Medical Records management: 1 year (Required)
  • Athena experience (Preferred)
  • Insurance verification (Preferred)

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: Depending on experience, from $20.00 per hour
