Part of the body’s natural aging process, menopause is common for women in their 40s and 50s. Menopause is diagnosed after 12 months without a period, signifying the end of the reproductive years.

Perimenopause is the time around menopause, during which your body transitions to no longer having a menstrual cycle. Throughout this time, it’s common to go months without a period, or even to have multiple periods closer together.
